  What effect / Tutorial?

  I’m currently looking around to learn how to do the effect that they applied to the dj’s in the opening of this video.

  I’d like to know how the “popup kind of effect” is done 🙂

  If anyone can help me out it’d be greatly appreciated. I would have googled if I had any clue what to look for.

  It’s pretty simple – grab the still, cut it out, and put a white stroke around it. Move the anchor point down to the base of the layer, so that when you rotate it, it looks like it’s swinging into place. Use a script like Ease and Whizz to make the bouncing action, or create keyframes to do it by hand. Done.

  1. For crop the objects you can either use pen tool in photoshop or simply Mask them out directly in AE using Mask tool( press ‘G’ ).

  2. To give white out line:
  select your layer in timeline, go to Layer> Layer Styles> Stroke.

  3. Go give the bounce:
  Make you object 3D and then key frame thier Position in Y – axis as required and Easy ease them by Selecting all the key frames and pressing F9. This will give you a smooth bounce.

  To rotate the objects , Press ‘Y’ and bring the Anchor Point down to bottom of your object in Y axis.

  Now animate the X Rotation to bring in the objects with Easy ease kry frames.
