  • Subject’s Face Looks Redish in Export from Motion 4

Posted by Michael Barnes on January 2, 2013 at 7:16 pm

    Hello,

I exported from Motion 4 to FCP 7 and the subjects’ faces look reddish. I originally exported a video from FCP 7 to Motion 4 (Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ)). I then applied text in Motion. Upon exporting out of Motion into FCP (again Apple Pro Res 422 HQ), the faces of the subjects on camera look red. Any suggestions? Would very much appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks,

    Mike

This is really basic but did you export it with the best quality? When exporting, go to the second tab called render and where it says render put it on Best.

Other than that I’m not sure whats going on. Have you any effects added to the video?

the problem is whether the problem is in Motion or FCP. I color corrected in FCP and did render under best settings. It seems the problem creeps up after rendering in Final Cut Pro — bringing in the mOtion file and rendering it on the timeline.

    Thanks for your response.

Have you tried exporting just the graphics with alpha from Motion, then comping in FCP?
