  Show Full View available but not working

  I’m new to Motion and have Motion 5. Show full view is not working.
  The option is NOT grayed out. It is available and can be checked and unchecked but it still does not work. In 2D or 3D. I saw an earlier post where someone said the it only works in 3D but I have also tried it in 2D (doesn’t work) and have been following a Ripple tutorial on kinetic typography. It is in 3D and it works for whoever is giving the lesson on the tutorial.
  Any help?

  Definitely should work in 2D. Try trashing your preferences.

  It’s working now. I had tried that earlier but this time I emptied the trash afterwords and that did it. Also working in 3D.
