    Hello,

I am having trouble changing the speed of the light streaks using paint in Motion 5.

I saw this video posted by Mark Spencer that demonstrated a solution to the problem.

It appears that the video was made with Motion 4.

According to the video, I’m supposed to go to Inspector->Shape->Stroke for the light streak, and select “Show in Keyframe Editor”. But, in my Motion 5, it’s grayed out. Does anyone know a solution to this?

In Motion 5 you’ll need to select each opacity tag, than add the Opacity and Location parameters each individually to the keyframe editor.

Thanks, Mark. It works now. It seems more tedious now than before. There isn’t an easier way to do this like before?

Not that I know of – I agree, it’s quite annoying

    Hi there,

I’m trying to do the same effect (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKDM0sJFFvQ) in Motion 5 and don’t know how to make the light streak apply to the entire piece.

I’m not so familiar with Motion 5 yet, could you please elaborate on how to “select each opacity tag, than add the Opacity and Location parameters each individually to the keyframe editor”.

Thanks so much, I appreciate the help.
