I am trying to build a lower third in Motion 4. I’d like the first name to have a different font weight than the second name. Unfortunately if I save it as a master template the different font weights are lost as soon as I try to edit the text in FCP. I want the name to be in the center of my image, so if I create two seperate text layers, doesn’t work either. Does anybody know a workaround?

Not sure what you mean by this? Why can’t you create two text layers with center alignment? Both layers can be positioned in the center of your frame.

Or, if you’re willing to have just the space between 2 words be at the center (similar to a credit roll) you could place one text layer on the left half of the screen with right alignment and a 2nd text layer on the right half of the screen with left alignment.
