    Hi geniuses, thank you in advance for helping me with a problem which I’m sure is a giant piece of piss to take care of. Here’s a screen grab:

    You can see what I’m trying to do – make a shadow of the text appear on the rolling hills. Problem is I cant get the gradient fill to go from black to transparent. The opacity slider is greyed out when i click on the little box to select my gradient colours, thus:

    What the hell am I doing wrong!?

    If you look at the gradient in your 2nd pic, at the top is a small white bar with a single tag on it. That is the opacity bar. Click in the white bar to add a 2nd opacity tag and then your opacity slider will become active.
