  About Your Video Player

  Hey, I was wondering if anyone had a good solution to a flash video player.

  My company is a Web Commercial Production company and we are looking for a better way for our clients to view our videos. We use Apple Motion and then convert the 480×270 file to FLV. Then we upload it attached to a player for their viewing.

  The issue is, when people upload their videos to Youtube they get stretched and look like crap, so we thought it might be a good idea to begin producing bigger resolution video files.

  Here’s (finally) my question. Is there anyway to export a decent sized file and give it to the client in a smaller player (so it still doesn’t take up to much space on their site) that could then be uploaded to Youtube in its bigger (native) size?

  I know this is a bit confusing but any help would be appreciated.

  I think it is always best to compress a version for approval and a different version for YouTube. YouTube will re-compress everything so that is why you give them a big file that you would never give to a client to just view. Hope this helps and best of luck.
