  Cannot open Motion Files after FC Studio upgrade

  Trying to export from an old FCP project before FCP studio upgrade to FCP 7 & Motion 4 Upgrade.
  My sequence contains many essential motion files.
  Every time I try to reconnect existing media, import file anew from finder or simply click on the clip within my sequence FCP crashes.
  Every time I try to open the original Motion file with Motion, the app crashes.

  Can anyone help?

  Hi Mark, thanks.
  Yes, although I’m not getting that alert I had already tried that command but it has not fixed the problem.

  I was thinking of trying to re-install the version of Motion the files were created with and exporting them as separate self-contained .movs then re-importing them into my updated FCP sequence.

  The Motion files were created in Motion 2.1.
  Don’t know if that info gives anyone a clue as to what might have happened?
