Motion objects in group moving off coordinates/shifting
I put together a crosshair graphic with a reticle and segments of a circle in Illustrator, then into Photoshop as a layered PSD. This was then imported into Motion so I could animate the circle segments and parts of the reticle. The problem is, when I applied a tracker to the video, my circle segments float around instead of staying at 0,0.
Here’s how the Crosshair group was organized:
CROSSHAIRS
>Circle
4 segment objects
>Reticle
Reticle objectsThe Circle group would stay at 0,0 but the objects within that group all float. Any idea on how to solve this?

I edited the post. It was originally a solution but I realized that I had turned off the motion tracker, so the problem wasn’t really solved. whoops.

You need to adjust the Anchor Point of your group or objects of your scope. That will effect how they move with the tracker. Best of luck.

This circle segments rotate around the center of the reticle so their anchor points have to stay where they are unless I setup the rotation wrong…I used the “spin” behavior.

Your problem has to do with the spin behavior combining with the Match Move on individual layers. The solution is to clone the Crosshairs group, and apply the Match Move to the clone.
