  • Trigger values by a formula?

Posted by Oliver Szalab on March 4, 2010 at 3:58 pm

I’m working a lot with drop zones representing footage I don’t know anything about (e.g. dimensions), which is kind of crucial when it comes to “Replicate” or similar effects. So here’s my question:
is there a way to trigger certain inputs (like the rows/columns in the Replicator) by a formula based on the (yet unknown) dimensions of the footage which will be mounted in the replicated drop zone?

    Cheers
    Oliver

Nope. You can use the Link parameter behavior to control the parameter of one layer with the parameter of another (e.g. the number of rows or columns could be controlled by the scale of another layer) but the dimensions of a layer is not a parameter.
