  • Can Motion 3 pull information from a spreadsheet or database?

I am creating a golf scoreboard in Motion 3 that displays the results of each round of golf during a tournament. I would like to enter player names and scores in a spreadsheet that will automatically update the Motion scoreboard I’ve created. Currently, I have to manually change each name and score in my Motion file to update it after each round of golf. It would certainly be handy to just be able to input the names and scores into a spreadsheet or some sort of database that the Motion file can reference and update itself automatically. Can this be done in Motion 3? Thanks for any insights!

The closest thing is AutoMotion, which can suck in a spreadsheet to create a series of Motion projects:

Wow, a $500 solution doesn’t sound too appealing… But thanks for the link.

Perhaps pricey for your situation, but for someone faced with dozens or hundreds of lower thirds to create, it can pay for itself immediately…
