  Match aspect ratio from Motion to Final Cut Pro

  I’ve created a template in Motion with drop zones and placeholder text. I need to drop these Motion templates into a timeline in FCP so I can create our station promos for output to tape. The problem is that no matter what I do with settings in Motion, I can’t get the templates to work correctly in FCP, preferably without needing to render.

  Here are my settings in Motion:

  It seems to me that if the settings match, the Motion template should appear in FCP, work without rendering, and look good. The biggest problem I have with it right now is that rendering is required and takes a looooong time to do, which doesn’t help with the workflow when I have 60 of these to do.

  So the question is, can I ge around the rendering? Do I have things set up correctly? Help!
