  • matching animation of bezier mask with paintstroke group

Hi, I am having some difficulty. I am sure there are things I am missing…

I have animated a group of paint strokes –

I then created a bezier mask to match the shape of the outline of the group of paint strokes behind which a generated motion background moves and fills in the outlines underneath the animated paint strokes.

The problem I am having is that I cannot get the mask and the group to move together. I can line them up on keyframes, but then they drift in between. I think this is because they are moving and rotating around vastly different anchor points (tried to move them so they matched – a disaster). I was hoping I could just copy the keyframes from the first animation and paste into into the keyframe editor of the mask, but when the keyframes allow themselves to be reproduced, the points don’t correspond to the same positions.

I know there are some fundamental things I am missing here – but don’t know what. Is there anyone out there that can suggest what I might look at

    thanks in advance

Try changing the keyframe interpolation to linear. This will stop the float.
