  Modifying a Motion template

  Hi,
  do you know the “Light” template in Motion 1? Please open it if you know what I’m talking about. In the template (either “open” or “mortise” will do fine) I want to replace the pools of light with a particle emitter of my choice, like “Golden Cam” or “Aura” or “Afterburner” so as to have more even, controllable lighting of the “Replace Here” layer.
  So far, by simply replacing the “Media-Lightning Flares” layer, I can’t seem to get the background image to appear clearly through the new particle emitter. This may be quite obvious, I’m just trying to mask the background footage to emerge evenly and clearly through the pools of light made by the particle emitter, like it does with the preset light streaks.
  Any help is greatly appreciated… and I’m not too experienced, so feel free to spell things out.
