  Illlusion of Growth for Design Elements

  I’m interesting in knowing how to make it appear that design elements are growing like a plant would. For instance, let’s say you have a design element that is a simple line drawing of a tree branch. Can I use masks and other tricks to make it appear the the branch is growing from something very small to the full image? How can I do that.

  I’m not asking how to resize, I’m asking how to reveal parts of the image slowly in order to create the illusion that the plant is growing from a sappling to a branch.
