  Motion and/or FCP Renders Digital Glitches

  Hi

  Wondered if anyone has come accross this… I’ve been putting .motn files into my final cut timeline and when rendered the files comes up with a few random frames with what looks like a green digital glitches – this has happened to a standard PAL project as well as a HD720p60 project. When I go back to motion – sometimes just re-saving the file fixes the next render and it definitely doesn’t happen when I export a lossless .mov from motion and use that in my FCP timeline.

  However – FCP has been doing quite strange renders – not updating new renders and even after clearing the files in my render manager does things come out strange.

  Is there a way to clear the caches and restore all the preferences for Motion and FCP or do I need to re-install? ( I’ve tried FCP rescue 5 but I’m on FCP 5.1 and it doesn’t seem to work)

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
