  Roundtripping FCP-Motion

  After checking out recent posts I tried the technique of dragging the Motion icon in the title bar of my finished lower third to my FCP timeline. The dragging part is fine but when I approach the FCP timeline it’s as if my icon has a dreaded disease. I get strong resistance and if I let go of the Motion icon, it simply disappears. FCP wants nothing to do with it. Any ideas as to where the cnflick is coming from?

  Just for the record, I tried dragging the icon to the browser as opposed o the timeline and I get an error message “unknown file”.
