Motion 2 keeps unexpectedly quiting. All other Studio software workd fine expect motion. I cannot see any updates that are missing either. I found this link –

    https://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/motion/download/

but it asks for a Motion2 serial No. My Final Cut Studio HD was an upgrade so It only came with the FCP and Quicktime serial numbers.

I’ve tried to reload Motion but no avail. : (

    What could be the prob?

I read another thread and someone mention the apple+option+P+R Pram option…. is this a no risk option for the new intels???

    Heya,

You have an Intel mac, so you need the Universal Binary version of the Studio (5.1), which runs on PowerPC and Intel. Apple is offering a crossgrade, found here: https://www.apple.com/universal/crossgrade/

The cool thing is, you get a new full retail version, instead of another upgrade serial number.

So there is no other option but to buy the intel; universal binary version then?

Will it be a problem since I’m in Australia? Is there an Australian address I can use instead of sending all my original disks to the US?

    Heya,

Just go to the same page on the Australian Apple site: https://www.apple.com/au/universal/crossgrade/
