I have a weird problem. I am working on a motion project that includes lots of still photos tht contain alpha channels. If I bring the photos in one by one, the alpha channel comes in with them. If I shift+grab a bunch of them and select to import them sequentially, they lose their alpha channel and it is replaced with white. any idea

    Heya,

The alpha channel isn’t lost, it may just be that Motion is trying to guess the alpha type when you’re importing multiple images. You can still manually set the alpha interpretation. Just go to the Media tab in the Project View, select the source footage, then go to the Media tab in the Inspector and pick the appropriate type. If you’re bringing in images from Photoshop, they are premultiplied with white.

    Good luck!
