Hope someone has an idea of how to fix this. I have a sequence in FCP 5.02 in DVCPro HD 720p/60. I have chosen to export this sequence from FCP as a reference movie so it is still in the DVCPro CODEC.

At this point I bring it into Motion and key the green screen and export back out to DVCPro HD and bring this file back into the FCP timeline. At this point the video being displayed over SDI to my external monitor is brighter than the video I say being sent from Motion.

    I tried this as well:
    1. Export from DVCPro HD to uncompressed
    2. Work in Motion uncompressed
    3. Export from Motion uncompressed and bring back into FCP in a new UC sequence

This workflow does not appear to brighten the video.

Any ideas. Thanks for the help in advance.

The key could have brightened it depending on how you did that… a better workflow would be to send to motion directly from FCP’s sequence in the timeline window I think too.
