  Motion Workflow question

  hey there

  sorry if this is a bit basic…but is this the correct workflow for motion (using the roundtrip method)

  make export a reference movie of the section of a sequence that needs work in motion.

  import that ref movie and place on timeline

  select in and out and use ‘send to’ comand from file menu

  work on sequence in motion

  save and changes should be updated in FCP

  the reason I’m asking about this is that i cant seem to just be able to hightlight a section of shots in the sequence and export to motion…it only seems to like single clips. thats why i thought using a ref movie would work.

  found the handy workflow mini manual – which explained a few things. though it says that I can “send to” any items i highlight in the sequence that doesnt seem to work as i get an operation not allowed message
