  • Apply a stroke to an animated alpha? NEED HELP!

    Hi all,
I am trying to put a stroke around an actor that has an alpha all ready applied to him. I know that in Photoshop I would just select the alpha, and create a shape from the selection.
Now the important part is that I need the stroke to follow the actor as the spot plays out… Any ideas, or are there any plug-ins I might purchase to help facilitate this action?

    Heya,

You can use the Outer Glow filter. Just clamp it down so that the glow is a hard line, then pick your thickness and colors.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

And if that doesn’t work, export a movie file of the alpha channe onlyl.

Import the movie, place it under the actor element and scale it up slightly.

    Color to suit.
