I have an G5 Dual 2.0 2.5 gig ram. For video, GeForce FX 5200, BlackMagic Dual Link 4:4:4. This is the issue/ problem. In Motion, if I import DVCPRO HD 1080i 60i I get a placard saying that this resolution is too much for this computer and hardware, wass up? I could see it if I was doing 1080 60i Sony HD CAM Uncompressed 4:4:4/ Any help, is it the FX 5200?

That card is the issue. It is low on the motion totum pole. Check the recommended system https://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/motion/specs.html

The key with motion is the graphics card. It is where ALL the heavy lifting is done.

I agree with Mike… get yourself that X800 ati card… I’m wanting one myself and have more card now than the 5200… Seen it as low as $449…
