  Field rendering in Motion 1.0

  Is it just me or is field rendering screwed up in Motion? Footage is fine in FCP but motion shows terrible artifacts from incorrect field dominance regardless of the settig.

  Make sure your project settings (command-J) match your video material – it’s easy to accidentally put DV material in an SD timeline. Also, to double-check, view on an NTSC monitor – it can be normal to see interlacing on the computer that won’t show on the monitor (FCP only shows one field in the Canvas by default).

  Thank you. This was the problem. Preview on my external NTSC monitor is now fine.
