October 8, 2012 at 2:53 pmIf you want to link the position for example, just alt+clic the position on your shape and then use the pick whip to link it to the null object position.

October 8, 2012 at 4:02 pmThank you but it’s not what I want.
For exemple I have a shape layer made with 3 points.
I want to parent this 3 points to 3 null objects.
Then when I will move a null object the shape layer point will move too. -

January 17, 2013 at 12:13 pmHI I was wondering if you ever found a solution to attaching a null object to a point on a shape layer.
I have a shape layer which I would like to animaite growing. an example would be a flower stem growing. I would like to attach the flower head to the top point of my shape layer. So, as the plant/flower grow’s the head can be also precomped and animated and attached to the same null object.
thankfully im not making flowers grow but I am playing with some robots.any help or links is greatly appreciated.
thanks. -

January 7, 2020 at 3:14 amso to do this you need your null exactly in the position of the shape x y and z. Then parentage null layer it like normal to the shape layer (not the shape). Then, alt click on the position value of the null. Then pick whip to the position of the shape (not the layer).
