  LP noise reduction

  Hello,

  I’m a newbie here and need some advice on how to do this.

  I have digitized a few hundred very old valuable LP records, mostly speeches, plays, etc., using an Audio Technica AT-LP60USB after cleaning the LPS with the Spin-Clean Complete System Mk2. Unfortunately the recordings have a lot of hiss and noise.

  I would greatly appreciate any advice on how best to go about removing the audio distortions and improving the recordings to the highest level possible. I have access to both a Mac and Windows systems.

  Not far from the top there’s an entry for “crackle from old vinyl records” which will be a good start, if you want to jump right in.
