  DeClipping a specific section in Audition CS5.5

  I’m working on a mix for a local band and there’s a small section where the audio clips. I thought sure that if I selected the section that is clipping, that the “DeClipping” diagnostic tool would just fix that section. Instead, it fixes the entire clip. I don’t want to run this on the whole clip.

  Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to select a section and run a diagnostic on that in Audition CS5.5, or does a diagnostic only run on the entire clip?
