Bringing the bass up?
I’m working on a project in After Effects and edited some stuff to the bass of a song that I’m using. I’ve been editing with headphones and everything sounded great. I just realized that when I listen to it without headphones and just through my computer you can barely hear the bass making all the edits look random/weird.
I’m hoping I can bring the bass up in Audition? I’m really new to Audition but I think I need to use the Parametric EQ. I’ve watched a couple tutorials and have been playing around with it and haven’t gotten it to work. Can anyone help me figure this out? It is possible right?

Parametric EQ is the way to go. The sound spectrum in the display goes from Bass (Lows) on the left side, to Treble (Highs) on the right side. Here’s a good rundown on using Parametric EQ in Audition (you need to scroll down past the Premiere section:

I would do a test before boosting the lows of your audio – it may be that you’re getting an accurate representation of the sound in your headphones, and that your computer speakers aren’t so good. Double check your sound on a good set of reference monitors, if you can get access to some, to be sure you need to boost the lows. And also bear in mind what the ultimate playback is going to be on. If it’s primarily on your average computer, you may be right in boosting the lows a bit.
