  Formatting a CF card on the PC for a Marantz MPD 670

  I didn’t know where else to turn here. I have a Marantz PMD 670 digital audio recorder. When I insert a 1 Gig CF card, the display on the recorder reads “Format on the PC”. Does anyone know how to do this? The card was originally used in my Canon 30D digital SLR. I now want to use it for the audio recorder though. The book for the Marantz does not explain how to do this. Can anyone help? I have tried to find info elsewhere with no luck. Thanks in advance.

  Do you have a card reader? if so plug the CF into it, the computer will recognize it as a drive, open Win explorer, look for the removable drive, right click on it and select format
