    Hi,
I am new to this forum & so please bear with me if this or similar has been covered at some time before.

I am using Adobe Audition 3.0 to record spoken word messages that I then want to transfer to a phone message centre so people can ring up & get the information they require.

The message centre is very specific in how it will accept the information – It must be Mono, 8 bit, 16hz

I record the information in mono,16bit,44100.

When I use the “Edit – Convert sample rate” to convert to the message centre requirements the end result is absolutley terrible!

I have done the same thing usind audacity as a quick fix & the results are fine.

Is there something I can do to get better results using Audition?
