Willie if your out there- – –

I posted a while back about the firewire 410 and it seems like a great way to go. I recently looked at trying to record a VO through my camera instead of dropping the $300 bucks on a 410.

Are the preamps in my camera like the ones in the Firewire 410? Could I possibly tell Adobe Audition to use my camera (through firewire) as the source for audio and record audio onto a timeline?

I also was curious about possibly slaving my camera to the (m-audio) firewire 410. I dont know if audition can do timecode lock up but I know the 410 has a midi in and out which can be used to slave a deck to the audio…. Might be a sort of newbie question but i must be asked.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chad,

The camcorder isn’t going to give you the best quality, your best off saving the money and doing it right … WILLIE
