I am just an amateur, not a pro. I shot the gymnastic school show and and I’m making a DVD for all the other parents. No money involved.
Apart the actual reportage of the evening, I’m doing some “extras” applying some slow motion and other video effects to some bits of the footage.
Searching around to get an inspiration on which effect to use I saw the Pixfly example Genarts put on a showcase reel on Youtube.
This effect: “disintegrates the image in its constituent pixels each of which then flies off independently under some different forces”.
I installed the trial (three weeks) of Monster GT over my Vegas 10 but, after playing around a bit with it, I realizad I don’t understand the basics of Pixfly so I’m wasting the trial time.
Is there anybody able to help me to get the right start, please?

Is there any other similar effect with, maybe, a different name and brand?

    Thanks.
