  kind of artifacts / trails rendering on one PC not the other

  Hi!

  We have to PCs with After Effects CS5 (different Serial #s) running. One the one there are almost always some problems with a kind of artifacts. The whole project is a mix of In-front-of-the-Camera-Videos of a person and screencasts. In the screencasts there are often trails of the moving mouse. It’s not in the footage and when I open the project on the other PC we don’t have this problem.

  This is the “problem PC”:
  Intel Xeon X5550
  24 GB RAM
  Windows 7 64bit Sp1
  NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800
  Quicktime 7.7.2

  The working one is:
  Intel Core i7 860
  8 GB RAM
  Windows 7 64bit Sp1
  ATI Radeon HD 4550
  Quicktime 7.7.2

  I tried turning on and off OpenGL, multiproceccos and so on and have the latest drivers for the NVIDIA.

  Anyone any ideas what’s happening? Any help appreciated!

  Hi there!

  Problem solved! It was the different versions of Camtasia/Techmsith codecs.
