  • Moving “scan??” lines on white portion of video IMAG image

    Hello there,

This is my first post so forgive any shortcomings in it.

I have moving lines over the white portion of an IMAG image in a video projection (not zebra). It’s a podium shot and the banner on the podium has white with moving lines on the edges showing on the projection screens.

A canon xlh1 camera, running BNC to Edirol switcher, running VGA to a DA to the Texas DLP projectors.

This is happening only in the bright white portion of the image. Anyone have an idea of what’s happening here? I turned every knob and pushed every button I could think of to see if this effect would go away, but it hasn’t.

    Boo VGA by the way.

    Anyone??

Does it go away when you iris down the camera?

    Thanks for responding.

It does not go away when I iris. I did every combination of knob twiddling I could think of. Iris, shutter, frame rate.

Definite noise in the highlights. Most obvious on the white border of the sign on podium.
