  Maximum disk cache size really ‘only’ 100 GB in CS6?

  Hi!
  I am in the process of buying an SSD for the global performance cache in AE CS6 (..which i haven’t installed yet..) and am wondering if the 100 GB size-limit mentioned in this article is really correct: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/memory-storage.html#disk_cache ..?
  I am trying to figure out if buying a disk bigger than 128 GB makes sense AE-wise.. (of course, the bigger the disk the better.. 😉 but I am trying to optimize costs..)

  Here’s the exact text from the article:

  The Maximum Disk Cache Size setting specifies the number of gigabytes of hard disk space to use. In After Effects CS6, the default disk cache size is set to 10% of the volume’s total size, up to 100 GB.

  This says that the default cache size will be set to 10% of your disk, but will not be more than 100 GB. That’s just the default — you can manually set it to whatever you want. I have mine set to 200 GB on a 240 GB SSD.
