After Effects Error: Can’t import file “_____.jpg”: Unsupported filetype or extension (0 :: 1)

I had this problem today while trying to import a jpg file into and AE project, and I’m having this problem with other image files (png) even though earlier today I was able to import them. I’ve also been getting the error message:

You have at least one output module template that refers to a missing output plug-in. Please check your Output Module Templates

at start up. I’m thinking this may have something to do with it.

    I’m running AE CS6 on Windows 7

Can anyone help me out? Thanks

I have almost the same issue. My error says:

After Effect warning: Error with file: ‘here-is-a-path-to-the-file’

Everything was alright yesterday, and now – this. Maybe it’s because AE update which runs in the background, and i COULD have installed some updatetes without a proper attention (they always popu-up, and I just want to get rid of them, so I click OK – I know: it’s not so wise 🙂

So if out there, there is somebody who knows what to do – please respond.
