  FCP 7 to AE CS5 xml import

  I am looking into a workflow specific to versions of FCP and AE.

  I have a complex sequence in FCP 7 with masks, animation (re-po, keyframing etc) opacity.

  I would like to conform, and finish this sequence in AE CS5 ONLY.

  I know CS6 will do this out of the box.. with CS5 will it work out of the box, or do I need 3rd party software?

  Any caveats, gotchas or advice on my workflow greatly appreciated.

  Automatic Duck’s Pro Import AE [link] (included in CS6) is now available as a free download for CS3 through CS5.5.
