Is it worth updating CS5.5 to CS6?
Posted by Scott O’hara on June 21, 2012 at 5:49 amWhen is it worth the money to do the upgrade? Should I wait a while longer?
Opinions/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

June 21, 2012 at 6:49 amEven if you do not have a Nvidia card, I would say yes, it’s worth the money. You get faster rendering and a solid 3d camera tracker, together with many new or improved features.

June 21, 2012 at 2:00 pmIf you earn your living working with After Effects, I’d say a resounding yes – the most significant upgrade in years.
Like Ted, I don’t have an nVidia card, yet the faster rendering, cacheing,3D tracker alone are worth it. I’ve rendered projects in literally half the time as CS5.5.
The disk cache speeds up workflow, I’ve put mine on a separate SSD.
