Advance black background removal problems
So basically, i have this video of an animal running, it’s animated with a black background. Now i’ve tried tons of black background removal techniques posted online, but they always remove part of the animal while it’s running because shadows on the animal are too similar to the black background being keyed out in whichever way. I was wondering if anyone else ever ran into similar problems and how they went about a clean background removal without loss of the main image itself.

Hey Thomas,
Is there no way to get a version of that video with the alpha? If not, I think you have to rotoscope it. On the bright side, it looks like a cycle so it shouldn’t be too difficult.
