This is just a fwiw, not a real complaint.

I upgraded my monitors to Dell 2405s, and found that (at native resolution of 1920×1200) with a larger screen and more pixels, many websites are actually harder to read, including the COW. In Internet Explorer, changing the text size only works on the “full page” list of forums, not the forums themselves. In Firefox, changing the text size is more convenient (“Control” + “+”) and works more broadly, including on posts, but not on the sidebars (which include some basic navigation).

If I used IE all the time, the COW would definitely be more difficult to use with these marvelous new monitors.

Have you tried using the Safari Browser? There is a feature where you can enlarge or reduce the text size.
