Hi folks. I have 35 years in the business and I am limping through my first Encore project. God I hate it!! So, I exported my project out of Premiere, encoded it, and imported the file into Encore. I limped through the process, created menus, chapter markers, etc and burned a DVD. It played fine, all the buttons worked and I was real proud of myself. Thought I was finished.
THEN…found an error in a title done in Premiere file. So, now I need to go back to Premiere, fix the text and end up back in Encore with the same file as before. Everything is the same except for the text mistake I fixed. My question. Can I open the original Encore project, bring in my new file as another timeline, and copy/paste the menus, button links, etc from the original. I would hate to re-do everything. Thanks and sorry if this has been covered in previous posts. Seems like it would happen all the time.

Don’t do it that way. Make sure the new file name is different. Then use “replace asset.”

Thanks so much Stan. Saved me a lot of time and most importantly, I learned something. Can’t wait for the DVD to completely die though. Have a great day!
