  • Subtitles in Adobe Encore CS5 (srt-file)

Posted by Sabine Maas on July 12, 2013 at 11:48 am

    Hi,

I’ve created subtitles in Miyu, and saved it as an .srt file.
Adobe Encore doesn’t read it. Should I convert it to m2v?
And how to convert .srt to .m2v?

    Thanks.

There are many different and incompatible file formats used for DVD subtitles. Check the Encore help file for the specific file formats that Encore supports for subtitles. Export the correct file format from Miyu, and you should be good to go.

You cannot convert subtitles to an .m2v file.

Miyu doesn’t give you very much options.
But I’d made some new subtitles in Final Cut Pro and burned two movies (one with subtitles and one without subtitles) on the DVD.

    Thanks anyway.

if you would still like to use subtitles you could sent the SRT over, and I could create the necessary file-format with annotation edit.

    cheers
