Why is the disc name on a blu ray disc not showing up in my player?
I set the name of the disc in Encore with the name of my program and then the Blu-Ray player just shows BD-R disc. I know that I have seen blu-ray players, specifically mine, show the name of the disc when using professionally made discs. Is there a way to get this all working with Encore?
Using latest CS6 with updates.

you´ve said it – it has been made on a professional authoring-system, that could implement more meta-data then encore.

This can be done if you wright your blu-ray to a folder on your pc.will post a zip file when I get home from work.also adds a picture that displays on the ps3 or pc blu-ray player.

ok now im at home i can walk you through this.
1.Write your blu-ray to a folder and not to disk
2.Close Encore and navigate to the folder on your hard drive.
3.Open up the disk and then open the folder called BDMV.
4.Create a new folder within this and call it META.
5.Open the folder called META and create a new folder called DL
6.Copy the files im sending to you into this folder called DL
7.write the full folder to Blu-Ray disk.thats the folder called BDMV and the folder called CERTIFICATE.
Ok so whats in the files im sending you i hear you ask.well 3 things two jpeg files and a xml file you can edit the jpegs in photoshop or create your own as long as the names stay the same and the size stays the same too.If you change the names then you will have to edit the xml file in notepad and add the new names then save it.the name of your disk is also in the xml file this one just says CREATIVE COW.

could you please upload the rar-file to another file-server. There´s a lot advertising and bad popups on that website.also your link is not complete.
and finally: what you´re describing in your tutorial is a workarround, which pro-apps are doing under the GUI. all in all – it works of course 😉
but encore itself could not create these meta-tags.

This is a rar file and when i upload it it seems to be gettinf a zip extention added to it?

that works perfect now 🙂I just wanted to look at the XML-file, as I didn´t have much time to look into one of my authored discs at the moment, and not all of them containing the XML and thumbnails with it.

Great! Thanks. Works perfectly. Can this be integrated during the authoring? I usually do my build to an iso, this way I have an extra step before the locked iso.
