  No Highlights on Encore CS3 for Mac?

  I was recently using Encore for the first time on my 2010 iMac and ran into a bit of a jam. When making any sort of menu, the menu highlights don’t always seem to show up on the DVD. I can see the menu highlights just fine when the disc is being played on a computer or a bluray player, but when in a regular old fashioned DVD player, I get a unnavigable menu. Anyone else seem to encounter this problem, and if so, does anyone have a solution?

  This is a well documented problem with Encore and the Mac OS. What you need to do is edit the menu in Photoshop, and change the highlight layer prefix from (=1) to (=3). Then in Encore, you may need to change the color of the (=3) highlight colors in the menu color set.
