I have an encoded one hour video that was encoded through sorenson – the file is around 3.5 gigs. When I import the mpg file and put it in the timeline, the last 30 seconds of video are trimmed off – It allows me to pull it back out in the time line, but when it transcodes, it is missing again. I adjusted the bitrate to 7mps to see if that helped and it didnt. I am not over my bits, so why is this happening? what can i do – There is not a “do not transcode” option for the video file either…

    Thank you in advance

I would first check why Encore is transcoding your video if you’ve just exported from Sorenson.

If the video stream is legal, it should say “Don’t Transcode” next to it in the Properties panel.

I’ve never seen this problem, but I’d double-check your settings in Sorenson and maybe try to re-export Elementary MPEG-2 and make sure your Encore settings match the video.

    Hope that helps,
    Clint
