  Remote Control Previous Chapter Button Plays Other Timelines

  Hi all, my first post to the forum.

  I’m about to duplicate a DVD-Video, and on some DVD players if you press the previous chapter button on the remote control 2 or more times while you are in chapter 1 of a multi-chapter timeline, it goes back and plays the first play timeline.

  I don’t want this to happen. Is there any control I can place so that the previous/next chapter buttons on the remote only affect the current timeline?

  hi jose,
  some dvd-player do this and they do the same at the end on the last chapter as well and jump into the next VTS.

  this is a missbehave of some DVD-player (mostly cheap ones) and a behave against DVD-specs.

  workarround:
  all you can do is to disable the specific user-operation on the first and last chapter and to insert 1 1/2-2sek. slug. set this chapter on the start of it, as it´s not allowed to have a chapter later than 1 1/2 sec. before the ending of your MPEG.

  same things will happen with scan forward/back, so disable both (skip + search).
