  Blu-Ray authoring

  I want to try out the Blu-Ray authoring on something simple – play-only video, burn to DVD-R for Blu-Ray playback. I know you can do it, I tried it with a very short video.
  I have a 24 minute video – edited in 720p XDCAM sequence in CS4 (PC) – exported to 720p m2v/ac3 files. AC3 imports no problem into an Encore Blu-Ray project.
  Importing the m2v file, it gets to 99% and then freezes. If I click anything on the computer, the whole computer locks up. I am trying it again and intend to wait it out to see what happens if I just let it sit there.

  I also exported an m4v file, but the playback stutters, so I thought I would stick with m2v for this test.

  as a test, tried importing the h264 m4v into Encore, and similar freeze, complete system freeze happens. I also waited an hour to see what would happen, but same thing – touch anything else and the screen goes white.
  All other CS4 apps work – Photoshop, Encore for SD, Premiere, Media Encoder, AE.
  Windows 7, i7, 8gigs ram.
