LG GGW-H20L (with latest firmware) Blu-Ray multidisk recorder
    XP Pro SP2
    CS3 Encore
    Blu Ray project.

The Drive wrote to the blank BD-RE’s just fine. Now I did some significant mods to the project and the BD-RE’s just get spit out of the LG by Encore as it says ” Please insert Blu-ray media, close the tray and click OK.” over and over again. Tried both the LG branded BD-RE that came with the drive and Verbatim BD-RE. Both single layer 25gb.

    Deadline tonight!!!

    Help

Can you re-format the disc in another application? ImgBurn on Windows is nice for this (and free).

Tried both nero and DVD-info (both can erase or reformat) to no avail.

I hate to admit it, but I just moved the drive to my mac, rebuilt my project on CS3 Encore for mac (as everyone knows that Encore is not cross platform like Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator, AE….etc…BOO! adobe) and it seems to be writing it fine (all be it super slow) 1 hour est time left on a 13 minute project burning at 2X. (does that seem logical?)

PS I still need it to work on XP

    AAAuurrrghhhh!

BD-RE burned on mac won’t play!!!

    Head spinning….eyes slooooowly crossing…..Drool hitting floor…
    Someone stop the madness!!!

BD-RE on XP won’t erase or format, but will play if written to a blank BD-RE.
BD-RE on OSX won’t play, but will erase and write to the BD-RE.

Is there even a BD software player that exists on the Mac?

Make sure you check the box on the lower left that says “Erase Re-Writable Disc” first.
