    make sure the HIGHLIGHT layer is selected and then nudge it back into position using the UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys on your keyboard.
    Also try using a fatter font and see if that reduces the shimmering.

    And never use the mouse to test links/highlights/etc.etc as this will give a false representaion.

    hi there, wondering if you can help clarify for me. when you nudge the highlight it also nudges the “normal” state effectively rendering no change – any ideas?

    Are you using text buttons? Is Encore creating the highlight from the text?

    You need to edit your menu in Photoshop and create a separate highlight layer. Then you can nudge the highlight layer without moving the underlying text.

    i was just coming to the conclusion that i might have to do that. used photoshop text the first time around but i cant remember why i reverted to encore text with subpictures.
