  • Subtitles won’t copy over during duplication?

Posted by Maui Mike on June 6, 2006 at 8:32 pm

I have a client that I just made a DVD containing subtitles for. The Master works perfectly, however now the client is trying to make dubs using Nero Ultra, and informing me that the Subtitles are not showing up in the copies….? I asked him to try a whole bunch of things using the DVD remote, and dug around the Nero settings and can’t figure it out.
Even tried burning a image file…….. Any Ideas ?!?

Are you sure he’s using the proper type of disc preset in Nero? There is a difference in a data DVD and Video DVD due to the sector placement and sizes. If not 100% correct, players may not properly be able to read the info from the IFO files and thus find the subpicture streams.

Yea, we figured out he was using Video settings in Nero, but in his panicking about a deadline, he asked me to do the dubs for him instead, so I got to make some quick cash. Sweet.
    Thanks for the reply!
